For once a film that fully deserves all the hype, this romantic thriller is directed with sure hand by US indie veteran Steven Soderberg (Sex, Lies, and Videotape), and adapted from a novel by ice-cool crime man Elmore Leonard. Jack Foley (Clonney) likes to rob banks, so much that he escapes from prison to continue his mission. Enter Federal Marshall Hunter (Lopez), who is determined to get her guy. The smouldering leads are aided and abetted by a couple of surprise cameos, and a groove-heavy soundtrack by Scottish techno-meister David Holmes.
