Current Work and Experience.

Director and Founder of Cube Cinema, Bristol 1998.
Principle Duties and Work at the Cube Cinema.
PEL licensee. Cinematographic Licensee.
This involves overseeing ALL Health and Safety issues as they relate to aspects of the
business and use of the building as well as requirements for the PEL.
Also involves overseeing Periodic Electrical report and electricians work/test requirements.
Technical/Stage Manager.
This involves maintaining, checking and supervising use of ALL major
technical resources from sound system and audio recording to cameras, edit equipment
and Cinema and Video plant and apparatus. I supervise the upgrading of all equipment
and the purchasing of new equipment according to budgetary restraints.
Stage duties involve use, storage and repair of stage furniture and sound equipment,
organisation of green room and back-stage areas and supervision of flying barrels and rope
usage.
I have created this role largely as a consequence of relinquishing evening participation.
Central to this work is the creative development and long term survival of the Cube.
I have raised funds so far from Arts Council England and have recently applied to The Greater
Bristol Foundation under their Social Economy Business Development Grant Scheme.
For this project I will be co-ordinating work with Architects, Structural Surveyors, Building
Surveyors and various other professionals with a view to producing a feasibility study for
the Cinema's long term future.
The Arts Council project involves video production, print documentation and an Educational
Research initiative which aims to explore the Cubes capacity as an Educator.
Health And Safety Competent person.
This involves undertaking work place risk assessments and implementing various actions and
changes required thereby.
Company Secretary.
These duties are minimal; running AGM, Directorships, Company returns, producing accounts,
etc.
Fire Warden.
This means liaising with Fire Brigade for PEL requirements, carrying out fire drills, checks
and maintaining fire fighting equipment and access signage.

Theatre, Community and Carnival 1992-1997
I have worked as a designer, maker and performer on many carnivals; specialising
in Stilt use. I have been commissioned by carnival groups like 'Academicos De Madureia'
for Notting Hill carnival (twice) and SWICA (South Wales Intercultural Community Arts)
for carnivals from 1992-97. I have also worked with Peter Minshalls company 'Calico Arts'
in Trinidad for the 1997 carnival. My experience with communities especially through
work with SWICA is extensive and has involved training, coaching and performance with
all ages generally though the agency of Carnival.
