Director and Founder of Cube Cinema, Bristol since 1998. The project was principally an attempt to investigate how a Cinema space might be run by artists with very different concerns to chain or even independent picture houses which deal with industry and public funds. With freedom to move in any direction and limited only by what is impossible the Cube has grown

Recent Work
Cube Microplex development.
=Involving CDA application, buying, installation and management.
This mainly involves outlaying all technical upgrading, documentation of systems
towards training and open use and the building of the systems themselves.
=Solar PV feasibility funding and application. This will involve investigating funding
under a new Government initiative to develop a sustainable power network.
=GBF funding application to plan a feasibility study on the Cube buying the building.
=Numerous Cube programme contribution.
I have always worked closely with the Cube programme and have been involved in too many to mention filmic and musical initiatives. My central role at the Cube continues in various guises but I am focussing on future developments and International links.

Recent Creative
imPROVIDE Festival, vi, Heli1, 5 5tar War5, Silence-R, HalFFrame, Club Rombus.
=imPROVIDE was an 8 day festival held at the Cube cinema concentrating
on improvised music. It hopes to continue with 'The Kavalier Club' a regular
event with workshops and concerts aiming to promote and support improvised
based music and sonic artists.
=vi, vaught increment is a sonic performance project employing improv techniques
with electronic and signal generating equipment, 3 live concerts to date
=Heli1 is a project with B.I.T (Bureau of Inverse Technology). I am the pilot
and engineer on a remote observation vechile facility.
=5 5tar War5 was an experimental cinema presentation exploiting a 5 film network
for the purposes of an entertainment crash.
=Silence-R is a scheme in development which hopes to commission well known and
established cinema movie Directors to make silent works uniquely for performance
with live music.
=HalFFrame is a project employing inexpensive cameras to build short motion picture
pieces for exhibition solely in cinema spaces.
1996-1997
=Club Rombus ran from January 1996 to November 1997. Although shortlived it provided a unique social environment by never advertising, reliance on networking, use of a large warehouse loft, and most importantly presenting a series of programmed nights of experimental and unusual films with live improvised music.

Thousand Years Of Cinema
=SWMDA commission for experimental screenings with live sonic output.
Held at the Cube Cinema in February 1999.
New Music Scores
=New music commission for improvised scores to silent films.
Funded by South West Arts. 1997.
8 X 8
=A spoof of the 10 x 10 scheme run by the BBC. 8 x 8 involved installing
myself as a commissioning body and funding 8 artists who were working with
super 8mm film. Funded by the Lottery. 1997.
Crow/Pylon Configuration
=Winner of 1995 HTV/SWMDA experimental film award. The work was filmed
on super 8mm and combined in twin screen mode on tape. It recieved several
terrestial TV transmissions. 1995.

Theatre, Community
and Carnival
I have worked as a designer, maker and performer on many carnivals; specialising
in Stilt use. I have been commissioned by carnival groups like 'Academicos De Madureia'
for Notting Hill carnival (twice) and SWICA (South Wales Intercultural Community Arts)
for carnivals from 1992-97. I have also worked with Peter Minshalls company 'Calico Arts'
in Trinidad for the 1997 carnival. My experience with communities especially through
work with SWICA is extensive and has involved training, coaching and performance with
all ages generally though the agency of Carnival.
