Every gig is different. Each time a new technique is happened upon. Recording therefore is a documentation process necessary to review/analyse compositions, ideas and mixes. Although the overall technology may be consistent, its not the aim to be 'exploring' the medium but rather mediate between whats possible and what one strives towards (ie NOT possible).
